Through Proper Aquarium Maintenance Cincinnati Protects Marine Life

By Agnes Dickson

Deep sea diving allows fortunate divers to experience the extraordinary underwater world. Theses amazing animals are being killed almost every day by poachers. The aquarium maintenance Cincinnati provides to its facility has given so many people the opportunity to experience the experience of a life time.

Cincinnati is a big tourist attraction and is known as Ohio's third largest city, but also for its great Museum, Zoo and Aquarium. The facility is used to preserve some of the finest creatures known to man. The animals are observed and records are being kept about the way the animals behave and how they adapt to their new environments.

A facility like this requires a lot of help and people working at the place love the animals as they get to know them and learn that the animals also have personalities and the staff devote their lives to saving those who can't save themselves. Highly trained staff is required for the safety of the animals and a team is hired for each and every different section of the facility. It is very important that every section deals with the department that they are qualified in, to ensure the best results.

The Aquarium consists out of animal exhibits, sea creatures that are fresh water and salt water- based, reptiles that live in water and on solid ground. There is an information theater, which shows clips on certain animals and how they are being rescued and rehabilitated. There are shops for you to stop and catch a breath of a minute or two while grabbing something to eat or drink at the cafe. This is so much more than just a place to visit animals.

There are underground tunnels built, so that visitors may enjoy the viewing of the animals in their environment. There are over a hundred tunnels running from one part of the facility to another, all leading to different exhibits. This allows the visitors to view the animals that are contained in large tanks that are filled with a large amount of water.

The facility consists out of sixty exhibits that exist out of sixteen different types of penguins, fifty different sharks and more. This is just a little information about how big the facility actually is. Sharks varying from great whites, to the sand shark are placed into huge water tanks that are called a shark tank. The sharks' tanks need to be close to their natural environment, therefore special marine display maintainers are part of the team to ensure that there are a few different types of rocks, vines and corals in the tank.

The facility's visit length is about two, to two and a half hours long and also depends on how many exhibits you as a visitor would like to visit on that particular day. The nice thing is that you have the choice to come back and enjoy the rest of the exhibits and the comfort and relaxation of the cafe's tasty treats.

The marine part of the Aquarium consists out of millions of gallons water, tanks, and plants. The facility was built on 100,000 square feet and cost over 40 million dollars to build and maintain. The Cincinnati facility is truly one in a million to visit.
