Getting a pet can't be done arbitrarily. You need to consider how much space you have in your home, what other people or animals live in your home, and how much time you have to devote to a pet. A lot of people think Goldendoodle puppies are a great pet.

A Goldendoodle is a Golden Retriever and Poodle mix. It is considered a hybrid dog and has a lot of varying features. The size of the dog is one feature that can vary greatly depending on the parent's size.

Most of these dogs are 13-24 inches to the shoulder and weigh between 15 and over 100 lbs! It's important to consider the size of your home and the time you have to play with your dog. While a miniature Goldendoodle can play and run around in your living room, a larger dog will certainly need to be taken outside and worked out considerably.

A Goldendoodle's coat can be soft and silky or tightly curled or anything in between. It can also come in many colors or a mixture of the colors. Generally they come in brown, tan gold, cream or a mixture of those colors.

Goldendoodles have a great temperament. They are affectionate, active, intelligent and super friendly. Another great thing is they are a low or no shed pup so is an excellent pet for those with allergies or those who don't like fur on their furniture.

A great thing about this breed is their temperament and high intelligence. These traits have shown to make Goldendoodles great guide dogs. Goldendoodles love their humans and are not suited to live outdoors.

Puppies are very social naturally and should be exposed to people and animals lovingly so they'll be comfortable in their new surroundings. Puppies that are overly shy or overly aggressive could be potential problem dogs so you may want to think twice when choosing a puppy with these characteristics. Overly shy puppies have been shown to have a higher chance of biting out of fear. Aggressive dogs can have problems with dominance which means they'll be hard to train since they'll think they are in charge.

Hybrid dogs can have the same health risks as the parent dogs so it's important to look at health problems of Golden Retrievers and Poodles. Because of the genetic diversity caused by breeding the health risks may be lower but their may also be new health problems.

The best way to ensure the health of your puppy is to use a trusted breeder who screens their breeding dogs for genetic disease and only breeds the healthiest of the bunch. Obesity can cause health problems but can be prevented. Feed your pup the proper amount and exercise him often.

Goldendoodle puppies will be the best pet you have as long as you give him good nutrition, lots of love, plenty of training and proper socialization.
